Eathu Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve Description

In order to improve the single eccentricity, the center of gravity of the valve stem is shifted by a distance, so that the line between the shaft and the sealing point and the sealing surface are obtuse, and the sealing surface does not interfere when sealing, and the more the pass is tighter, the greater the sealing surface compression force.

Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve Structural Features:

(1) Valve body: The valve body is the main part of the butterfly valve, usually made of cast iron, ductile iron, carbon steel and other materials. Inlet and outlet pipe interfaces are provided on the valve body to control fluid entry and exit.

(2) Valve disc: The valve disc is a key part of the butterfly valve, responsible for opening and closing the fluid channel. (4) Valve seat: The valve seat is the part in contact with the valve disc and is made of wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials, such as polytetrafluoroethylene, polystyrene, etc. It has one or more sealing surfaces to form a seal with the valve disc.

(5) Operating device: The operating device is used to control the opening and closing of the valve. Common operating devices include manual handwheels, electric actuators and pneumatic actuators.

(6) Standard: Valves are designed to meet the design requirements of EN593, BS 5155, AWWA C504 and API 609.

Double Eccentric Butterfly Valve Sealing Principle:

(1) Double eccentric contact: The disc of the double eccentric butterfly valve has two eccentric positions to ensure that it is in contact with the sealing surface of the valve seat in the closed state. This double eccentric contact design can reduce the wear of the sealing surface and can withstand high working pressure.

(2) Close contact: Close contact is formed between the disc and the seat to prevent fluid leakage. The valve seat is usually made of wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant materials to ensure its rigidity and sealing performance.

(3) Multi-layer seal: Double eccentric butterfly valves usually adopt a multi-layer seal design, that is, a plurality of sealing rings are set between the disc and the seat. This design can increase the sealing performance and ensure zero leakage of fluid.
