About Cast Iron Dual Plate Check Valve

We will introduce you to the Double Plate Check Valve here.The Wafer Type Double Plate Check Valve is a check valve designed with a compact, wafer-type body that can be mounted between flanges. It utilizes two spring-loaded plates (or discs) that pivot open to allow positive flow and close to prevent backflow.

Principle of operation:

Double plate check valves operate using two spring-loaded plates. When fluid flows in the desired direction, the plates pivot open to allow fluid to pass through. If fluid flows in the opposite direction, the springs press the plates back against the valve seat, stopping fluid flow and preventing backflow. This action ensures fast and efficient closure.

Upper and lower PTFE thrust washers

Resilient Buna-N or EPDM seat.

Dual Plate Valves give maximum strength with minimum opening time.

Torsion springs assist valve closure,preventing flow reversal.
